Gigs Transforms Your Concert History into a Personal Live Music Archive

2 Min Read

People often record special moments at concerts using their phones, yet rarely revisit these videos. Gigs, a new app launching this week, aims to change this. The iOS app turns concert records, tickets, and media into a personal archive using Apple’s on-device AI.

Users can add concerts to Gigs by importing tickets, emails, screenshots, or website links. The app uses Apple’s Foundation Models to extract key concert information to complete the listings.

For users who track concerts on other platforms like Setlist.fm or Concert Archives, Gigs allows for automatic import of past concert data by linking accounts.

Once concerts are added to Gigs, users can sync dates to their calendar, receive ticket reminders, preview set lists, and access show details. After the event, the app prompts users to rate the show and upload media from the concert.

Gigs was developed by indie creator Hidde van der Ploeg, known for apps like Petey and NowPlaying. With Gigs, he aimed to make an app for live music enthusiasts to help manage their event histories.
