Govee has launched its largest ceiling light, featuring a dense array of LEDs for color-changing effects and image display. The smart lighting company has been active this month, releasing solar-powered lights, a cordless table lamp, and an updated LED light wall. Now, Govee introduces a new multicolor ceiling light, available for $249.99 at the company’s online store and Amazon. The 21-inch Govee Ceiling Light Ultra is larger than previous models, using its LEDs to show images. This Ultra version, with a 21-inch diameter, is suitable for illuminating larger rooms up to 30 square meters. While cheaper 12- and 15-inch models emit 2,400 and 4,300 lumens, respectively, the Ultra has 5,000 lumens and offers color temperature adjustments from 2,700 to 6,500K.
The Ceiling Light Ultra includes a backlight with color-changing LEDs that project onto ceilings or walls. It distinguishes itself with a denser outward-facing array of 616 independently controlled LEDs, capable of displaying layered colors and abstract designs via 100 preset effects through Govee’s app, including dynamic reactions to music. This LED array can show custom images, softened by a diffuser to reduce pixelation.
Compatible with Matter, Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and Samsung SmartThings, the Ceiling Light Ultra can be integrated into existing smart home setups. It includes Govee’s DaySync system, which adjusts brightness, colors, and color temperature throughout the day in sync with circadian rhythms and local conditions like sunrise and sunset.
