Ikea’s New Inflatable Chair Doesn’t Look Like an Inflatable Chair

You can inflate it with a pump, but this chair’s metal frame prevents it from bouncing like a balloon. Ikea previewed three pieces from a new collection, debuting on May 13th at their annual event. One is an inflatable chair, unlike the 90s furniture, with two adjustable air chambers and a carbon steel frame preventing it from bulging or bouncing. Pricing is unknown, but it passed Ikea’s durability tests. With the chair and pump, two other items were teased: Marta Krupińska’s pine bench working as a two-person rocker, and Lex Pott’s lamp with adjustable angles for different lighting directions.
