DJI is setting competitive prices for its new entry-level 4K drones that don’t require registration for flight. DJI is expected to launch two new drones soon, following a teaser that hints at their release. However, Dino Galiano, an Italian electronics retailer, has already listed the DJI Lito 1 and Lito X1 drones with complete specs and prices, as identified by leaker Roland Quandt. The Lito 1 is priced at €339.99 (approximately $400), and the X1 is €419.99 (just under $500), aligning with Dealabs’ recent leaks. Neither drone is anticipated to release in the US, similar to other recent DJI launches. These models, likely successors to the DJI Mini 3 and Mini 4 Pro, each weigh under 249 grams, allowing operation without FAA registration. The DJI Lito 1 sports a 48-megapixel camera on a 3-axis gimbal, equipped with a 1/2-inch sensor for capturing 4K videos or 8K stills. It offers a flight range of up to 20 kilometers, has omnidirectional obstacle avoidance, and can fly for up to 36 minutes, depending on conditions. The higher-priced DJI Lito X1 provides a more advanced 1/1.3-inch sensor, enhancing photo and video quality in low light, while still producing 4K videos and 8K photos. Its flight distance extends to 21 kilometers, and it features a sophisticated forward-facing LIDAR system for better obstacle prevention at higher speeds. Both drones come in kits with the DJI RC-N3 remote controller, which includes a smartphone clamp for real-time flight previews but lacks its own screen.
