That’s sneaky.

Challenge is sometimes a good thing.
A classic game design move was pulled by Connections this week by presenting a challenge players hadn’t seen but were unknowingly prepared for. The well-known New York Times game, which normally involves grouping random words into secret categories, introduced a twist on Wednesday, May 6. Today’s puzzle is peculiar because it doesn’t consist of words. Instead, it involves symbols of everyday items.
The puzzle makes more sense if you look up the answers, yet regular Connections players are bound to find it tougher than usual, leading to quite a bit of online criticism. Yet, at least one individual found it fascinating.
Hopefully, tomorrow’s puzzle reverts to words.
