Sony Increases Short-Subscription Prices for PlayStation Plus

1 Min Read

PlayStation is set to raise the prices of one-month and three-month PlayStation Plus subscriptions in select regions due to “ongoing market conditions.” Effective May 20th, the price for a one-month subscription will begin at $10.99 USD / €9.99 EUR / £7.99 GBP, and for a three-month subscription, it will start at $27.99 USD / €27.99 EUR / £21.99 GBP. In the US, this translates to a $1 increase for a one-month Essential tier subscription and a $3 increase for a three-month Essential tier subscription. It’s uncertain if other PlayStation Plus tiers will experience price increases. PlayStation has not commented on the matter yet. Existing subscribers will maintain their current prices, except in Turkey and India, unless they alter their subscription tier or allow it to lapse. This price adjustment follows recent hikes for PS5 consoles, attributed to “continued pressures in the global economic landscape.”
