The redesigned Reon Pocket Pro Plus by Sony enhances venting of warm exhaust for improved comfort. Announced following its original debut in 2019, this upgraded wearable air conditioner offers performance and design enhancements from its Pro predecessor, facilitating discreet under-shirt wear. Now available in Europe and other markets for €229 or £199 (approximately $270), availability in the US remains unannounced. Unlike simple air-blasting devices like the Dyson HushJet Mini Cool, the Reon Pocket Pro Plus uses a cooling plate, similar to the Shark ChillPill’s accessory. It features flexible arms to secure it on the upper back and a cooler metal plate surface, complemented by an optimized cooling algorithm for a 20% performance boost. Improvements include a revamped exhaust vent to direct warm air away, even in high-collared shirts, and compatibility with a new, more compact Reon Pocket Tag 2 sensor for accurate environmental readings.
