The Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses, available in both original and second-generation models, are currently on sale. These smart glasses provide hands-free photo-taking, calling capabilities, and include built-in AI features. During Meta’s Summer Sale event, which ends on May 26th, the original model is priced at $224.25, a discount of $74, available at Amazon, Best Buy, and Meta, matching its lowest price so far. The newer second-generation model is also discounted to $322.25, a saving of $57, marking a new low price, also available at the same retailers.

Regardless of the model, users receive a consistent smart glass experience that looks like regular Ray-Bans, capable of taking 1080p photos and short videos, livestreaming directly to Instagram or Facebook, and serving as capable open-ear headphones. They allow users to make calls via a five-mic array that maintains voice clarity.

Both models include access to Meta’s AI assistant, offering real-time translations for languages such as Spanish, French, and Italian while traveling, answering questions about landmarks, assisting with recipe ideas, managing appointments, and more.

The primary distinction between the models lies in the second-generation glasses’ ability to shoot 3K video at 30fps, offering slightly improved video and image quality. Additionally, the Gen 2 glasses boast a battery life of up to eight hours with vigorous use, double that of the original pair, supporting all-day wear without needing a recharge.
