Trump Mobile Customers Report Personal Information Leaks

1 Min Read

President Trump’s cellphone company, Trump Mobile, has been reported to leak customer data, such as mailing and email addresses. On Tuesday, YouTubers Coffeezilla and penguinz0, who purchased the gold T1 phone, reported being alerted by a researcher about the data exposure online. Coffeezilla, known for exposing crypto scams, confirmed that his personal details, excluding credit card information, were leaked and advised against using trumpmobile.com. The YouTubers claimed a source confirmed the leak by showing their personal information and said they couldn’t reach Trump Mobile for resolution. No technical details on the data breach were shared as they claimed it was easily accessible and still online. Trump Mobile didn’t respond to TechCrunch for comment. Coffeezilla estimated only 30,000 orders, a drastic drop from the expected 590,000 pre-orders last year. Originally promised as a fully American-made phone, NBC News noted the phone was delivered late with marketing now emphasizing values and innovation. The Verge and others pointed out the phone’s American flag design, missing a stripe unless the logo is intended as one. There’s speculation it resembles an older HTC model. Issues plagued the phone from the start, with 404 Media encountering order page failures and incorrect billing.
