“Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” is packed with prominent talent. Pedro Pascal returns as Mando, Sigourney Weaver debuts as a Rebel colonel, Jeremy Allen White voices a Hutt, and Oscar winner Martin Scorsese appears as an Ardennian fry cook. Star Wars fans will recognize Lucasfilm President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni. Filoni helped write “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” and has been pivotal in shaping Star Wars television with work on “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels,” “The Mandalorian,” “The Book of Boba Fett,” “Ahsoka” and more. Now, he appears in the franchise’s first theatrical film since 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

Who does Dave Filoni play in “Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu”?

“The Mandalorian and Grogu” isn’t Dave Filoni’s first Star Wars appearance. He’s previously voiced characters like “The Clone Wars'” Embo and “Rebels'” Chopper. His first live-action role came in “The Mandalorian” Season 1 as X-Wing pilot Trapper Wolf. He reprised the role in Seasons 2 and 3.

Filoni returns as Trapper Wolf in “The Mandalorian and Grogu.” His first appearance has him at a bar on a Rebel base, with his signature cowboy hat. Later, during the final battle on Nal Hutta, Wolf and other pilots lead an attack on the Hutts. This scene also features cameos from Captain Carson Teva (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and directors Lee Isaac Chung and Rick Famuyiwa.

“Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu” is now in theaters.
